About Me
I’m an internal medicine physician and writer in Chicagoland. I write creative nonfiction, essays, and humor.
I’m certified in narrative medicine, studied comedy writing with The Second City, and have taught health humanities courses for medical students, residents, and faculty.
In my essays and nonfiction, I like to tackle hard topics, like the human condition. In my humor writing, I do the same, but with more poop jokes.
Fine Print
Essays and nonfiction are based on real experiences, with identifying details changed to protect privacy.
Humor writing is mostly fictional, sometimes hysterical, and may not reflect reality or my personal views.
The opinions expressed here are my own and do not represent those of any academic institution or hospital with which I am affiliated.
